The owners of this apartment in a converted Tribeca warehouse wanted to take a connoisseur's approach to the selection of furniture and lighting to complement their collection of bold artwork. The custom dining table is surrounded by iconic teak-and-cane chairs by Pierre Jeanneret. In the living room, a museum-quality, streamlined polished-nickel picture light runs the length of the room to show painting to the best advantage. The mood is more subdued in the tone-on-tone master suite. Vintage reading lights and bedside tables by Paul McCobb flank a custom bed upholstered in luxurious Ultrasuede. There is nothing ordinary in the apartment and nothing extraneous either.
