About the artist
Linda Rosewall’s artistic path was cemented during her childhood. She was inspired by her farther, an accomplished musician and composer who raised his six children as a performing family act.
The experience of traveling the United States and Canada in a small airplane piloted by her father provided the opportunity for Linda to capture these moments on her small Kodak Instamatic Camera.
At the age of 18, she enrolled at Columbia College of Fine Arts Chicago. During her studies, Linda apprenticed under photographer Norman Bilisko and later worked with Dennis Manarchy...

Ian Sanderson (born 1951 Scotland, died 2020 Spain) was a Scottish photographer.
Ian produced images over a 35 year career. For most he worked as both a Commercial and Fine Art photographer; during his last years concentrated on his personal archive.
Ian and his partner have worked for many years with alternative printing techniques, Platinum Palladium, Silver Gelatin, Lith or Gum Bichromate. This culminated in a large retrospective exhibition in Barcelona which was sponsored by the Nando and Elsa Peretti Foundation.
Platinum Palladium printing is a traditional photographic technique which precedes silver gelatin prints technique.
Many photographers have worked with it in the past as Irvin Penn, Manuel Alvarez Bravo, Robert Mapplethorpe, Sebastiao Salgado o Ormond Gigli with its Platinum with gold leaf print 'Girls in the Windows'.
For this type of print, the original Platinum Palladium technique is more advanced by adding another precious metal that only a handful of artists in the world have the expertise to practice it today.
Ian Sanderson Studio works with silver or gold leafs depending on the desired rendering.
These precious metals bring longevity and rarity to the print but also a tonal range and depth unmatched by digital printers which are valued by collectors.

“These images have a deceptive character which contradicts the sensationalism they would like to convey” (Mazaccio & Drowilal). The starting point of the series “Paparazzi” was a collection of celebrities’ pictures from their everyday activities such as shopping and jogging, and golfing, but all shot by the paparazzi. After collecting them from magazines and the internet, the duo gathered the images in the same picture allowing them “for the sensational side to be neutralized, so there was a shift from the «scoop» of catching a celebrity, to an anonymous crowd.”(Mazaccio & Drowilal). Working principally with photography and collage, Mazaccio & Drowilal deconstruct multiple facets of contemporary visual culture through their process of gathering and arranging mass-media images. Their visual practice and aesthetic approach are heavily influenced by the Internet’s new iconographies and digital culture. Mazaccio & Drowilal have explored a wide breadth of subjects pertaining to celebrity, branding, artificiality, and identity.

Il punto di partenza della serie "Paparazzi" è stata una raccolta di immagini di celebrità tratte dalle loro attività quotidiane, come lo shopping, il jogging e il golf, ma tutte scattate dai paparazzi. Dopo averle raccolte da riviste e da internet, il duo ha riunito le immagini in una stessa foto che ha permesso di "neutralizzare l'aspetto sensazionale, passando così dallo "scoop" della cattura di una celebrità a una folla anonima" (Mazaccio & Drowilal). Lavorando principalmente con la fotografia e il collage, Mazaccio & Drowilal decostruiscono molteplici sfaccettature della cultura visiva contemporanea attraverso il loro processo di raccolta e sistemazione delle immagini dei mass media. La loro pratica visiva e il loro approccio estetico sono fortemente influenzati dalle nuove iconografie di Internet e dalla cultura digitale. Mazaccio & Drowilal hanno esplorato un'ampia gamma di argomenti riguardanti la celebrità, il branding, l'artificialità e l'identità.

Over the course of a career lasting half a century, Slim Aarons (1916-2006) portrayed high society, aristocracy, authors, artists, business icons, the celebrated and their milieu. In doing so, he captured a golden age of wealth, privilege, beauty and leisure that occurred alongside—but quite separate from—the cultural and political backdrop of the second half of the Twentieth Century.
The Slim Aarons Estate has released the limited Estate edition as a Lambda print, which is a modern c-type prints. They have chosen Lambda prints for their sharpness, clarity, colour saturation and quality, compared to archival inkjet prints. Lambda printing gives true continuous tone.
