Martin Friedman (1896-1981). Two Nude Figures, ca. 1960. Charcoal on paper, image measures 17 x 22.5 inches; 24 x 30 in original custom chestnut frame and linen matting. Signed lower right.
A fine art painter of abstraction, Martin Friedman was born in Hungary, and lived in Provincetown, Massachusetts from 1955 to the 1970s. He also lived in Brooklyn, New York.
He was a student at the National Academy of Design. Memberships included Federal Modern Painters and Sculptors, Audubon Artists, and Woodstock Art Association.

Excellent condition with no restoration or damage. Signed with artist's chop in red ink seal that he used in Asia. From a recently discovered collection of over 60 important Castellon drawings and watercolors c.1939-1950.
