Displayed in vintage wood frame. BROUGIER, Adolph was born on September 23, 1870 in Stuttgart. Son of a German merchant whose family was of French origin. Education Stuttgart; Munich; Studied art for three years at Munich, and later spent a year in Paris, where he studied under Benjamin Constant and Bougereau. Career From there he went to Rome, where he also took up sculpture. Settling down in Munich he became a member of the Ktinster Genossenschaft and Luitpoldgruppe.
