This is a beautiful and tranquil acrylic painting on canvas. At a first glimpse, the painting looks subtle, but multiple soft and fine nuances, forms, and textures appear when you near in. The painting evokes a feeling of Nordic minimalism.
The painting is made by Danish artist Anette Holmberg (1969-). Anette Holmberg has a master’s degree in art education focusing on art and aesthetic theory. Artistically, she is primarily known for her subtle textured paintings and collages of metal. She derives great inspiration from various materials, how their different tactile effects interplay, and the simplicity of the Scandinavian/Nordic light and environment.
The painting is counter signed. 'AH' is signed in the front lower right corner of the canvas, and 'Anette Holmberg' is signed on the reverse side of the canvas. It is dated 'Sep 2005'. The painting carries its original frame in matte polished and untreated aluminum.
