ALLURE, written in ICAO-Alphabet 70 x 70 cm / 28“ x 28“ in - frame not included Stretched shipment, ready to hang The central focus of this series is typography, with quotes written in the ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) alphabet, which is used in aviation and sailing to communicate letters and numbers phonetically. As the viewer gazes at my work, I hope they can’t help but be transported into the my world, sailing around the world with my family for seven years. An incredible journey: 7 years, 30,000 nautical miles / 55,000 kilometers, 28 countries. Storms, waves, transatlantic passages, the almost incomprehensible vastness of the Pacific, weeks with no land in sight, isolated islands...
