Gérard Guéguénia (French 1934-2019)
Breton painter and sculptor born in 1934 and died in 2019. Former professor of arts in Quimper, he exhibited for the first time in Camaret in the Morvan gallery. Then he became known abroad by presenting his works in Japan, the United States and Great Britain.
This striking abstract painting captivates with its vibrant use of color, blending bold shades of pink, orange, and grey with subtle touches of cool hues. The dynamic composition suggests a landscape seen through an imaginative, modern lens, with blocks of color creating an almost dreamlike horizon.
