About the Flower Portraits: Working intentionally with live flowers, I began studying the entire life cycle from bud to bloom to fading and withering; observing how the shapes and colors shift throughout this process. The initial Flower Portraits emerged as pared-down contour “drawings†over surfaces that represent flower-specific color studies. Lines overlap and combine multiple viewpoints, life cycle elements and colors into a singular visual story. . +Canvas is a 1-1/2" deep Gallery Wrap style +Edges are painted crisp white +Painting is wired on the back and ready to hang. +A custom wooden shipping crate will be specially made for this canvas to ensure that it arrives to you safely. About the Artist
Romanian-born painter Diana Chelaru’s paintings are colorful and contemporary interpretations of human emotion. For Diana, art is a means of communication. “It is how I express my thoughts, hopes, regrets and joys,” she says. Though she gets great pleasure from applying paint to canvas, it is the expression of emotions that she finds to be most important. Diana’s style is influenced by Byzantine mosaics as well as Gustav Klimt’s subject matter and use of decorative patterns within his compositions. Each artwork is created intuitively, resulting in paintings that speak to the soul.
