This painting focuses our attention on stability, the search for balance, and inner support, reminding us that simple and understandable things help us maintain equilibrium. When the world around us changes, when the familiar crumbles, and uncertainty arises, it is important to hold onto something constant.
In the foreground—sheep, a symbol of calmness and permanence, existing in their own rhythm, independent of the chaos around them. Their softness and natural presence contrast with the background, filled with movement, shifting forms, and rhythms. The abstract landscape serves as a metaphor for the world’s instability, its unpredictability and transformation, yet it does not disturb the sheep’s inner balance. They always remain sheep—unchanging, unfazed, and true to their nature, no matter the chaos surrounding them.
This work is about finding stability in all times, about the ability to remain true to oneself despite change. In moments of uncertainty, it is especially important to focus on something familiar, warm, and constant—something that stays with us regardless of the world’s transformations.
Iryna Rets is a Ukrainian artist born in 1974 in Donetsk. She received education in clothing design. From 1993 to 2021, she successfully worked as a fashion designer,
participating in international exhibitions. In 2014, she moved to Kyiv, and in 2022,
she left fashion to focus on art. Iryna explores beauty through figurative and abstract
forms, offering viewers new perspectives on fragility and anti-fragility. Her clothing
design skills continue to inspire her creative process and contribute to the
development of new ideas in art.

in her work. She transforms complex emotions and challenges into sources of inner
strength, zest for life, and harmony. Her art aims to prompt viewers to reconsider
