About the Item
Ferst is a colourist and abstractionist. Desert Jambalaya is one of his large scale abstracts from 2014-16. It is bold and whimsical at the same time. Ferst's muse is his love of nature and the outdoors. Gardening, plants are his passions besides making art. His work has been collected around the globe and he continues to create unique and joyful paintings. In critical reviews his work has been called full of life and juicy. He was selected by the US State Department to particpate in an exhibition alongside jasper Johns and Robert Rauchenberg and his painting was selected as the flagship or anchor piece of the exhibit. The painting is about the animals and plants of the US southwest desert. In the work you can see cactus, and other interesting things.
