About the Item
I am a colorist. I love color and form in all manner and shape. I paint abstractions and landscapes that have been called juicy, flamboyant and full of life. These colorful and joyful paintings reside in homes and businesses around the country and beyond. This painting is a geometric landscape. The colors are predominantly greens with blues and neutrals. The painting is created as a conversation I have with the canvas and as it progresses colors and forms evolve. The play of color and light on the textured surface which is achieved from many layers of paint with brush and knife creates a play of shape and variation of colors as lighting and viewpoint changes.
