About the Item
Justin's work, including Treasure, focuses on juxtaposition of color, depth, and texture. Paint is added and subtracted simultaneously using a variety of tools including some that have been created/modified to support this project. Treasure's combination of deep greens and golds over heavily textured pastels creates constant interaction between multiple layers and sub-layers of paint. This allows a viewer to continually discover new elements of the work as the eye scans across the canvas.
