After traveling extensively and moving overseas more times than I can remember, I have finally found a studio and home with a view so inspirational that leaving again seems impossible. The paintings Pink Nirvana and Winward are love notes to my new home town of Henley on Thames. Living here during lockdown was significant for my work. Nurtured by quiet, I could study my muse uninterrupted. The cotton candy colors of the sky as well as the smoldering grey misty mornings have filled my mind and canvas. I apply layers of metal and paint, both scraping and applying materials for months until I feel my work is finished. Winward has taken over a year to complete. It's about facing the wind and moving forward, something we all have done so much of the last year. These Thames waterway paintings are a labor of love and joy and Im thrilled to share them with you.
