Patrick Lee
Taoism Less Is More Beyond White Planet & Endless B/W Moorland

2019

About the Item

Planet Series Patrick Lee states “when I do more art, more emotions as a result of minimalism.” Patrick Lee is inspired by freehand brushworks, one of revolutionary landscape painting skills in Chinese painting history. Patrick Lee utilizes acrylic paints to reproduce textures of ink paints. He applies expressive brush lines and colors to imbue illusionistic representations. A round shape planet is pained in bright and warm color. It occupies most of space in a painting. It rises over the horizon and brings a light of hopes in a mysterious land. Ship in tube This item will arrive rolled in a dent-resistant tube. This method is especially safe for oversized works, and provides lower shipping costs as well. Rolled works can be easily stretched (for canvas works, i.e. placed onto wooden stretcher bars) and/or framed by a local framer upon arrival. Upon immediate delivery, we highly recommend you send any works directly to your framer for cautious, professional unrolling of the artwork.

We were two boys and six girls in the family. The most mundane things were magical and special to me. I liked to draw, color, make things, and plant things. I loved the woods and the earth, and watching storms with thunder and lightning. We moved from Oklahoma when I was 11. In the late 1950s, I attended Oakland Technical High School where I met artist Sam Richardson...
