"Celeste en Blue," a 49" x 36" mixed media abstract painting by Steven H. Rehfeld, is a masterful exploration of texture, color, and subtle symbolism. The cool, serene palette of blues and soft pastels invites the viewer into a world of contemplative stillness, while the layered, tactile surface creates a sense of depth and complexity. Rehfeld’s use of crinkled textures and smooth planes juxtaposes opposing qualities—chaos and calm, light and shadow—creating a dynamic tension that is central to the piece. Geometric shapes, including triangles and squares, appear suspended within the composition, hinting at the balance between order and disorder. The subtle inclusion of transparent materials adds an ethereal quality to the work, evoking themes of transparency and transformation. At its core, "Celeste en Blue" speaks to the fluidity of emotion and perception, encapsulating the quiet yet profound moments that often go unnoticed in daily life.

Steven H. Rehfeld
Steven H. Rehfeld, a California artist, holds a B.A. in studio art from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He draws inspiration from the 'Outsiders' school of art that originated in 19th-century France, known as the Naïve movement. Also referred to as the Naïve or Primitive art movement, was comprised of artists with no formal art training who discovered their talent and began painting. Many of these artists came from challenging backgrounds, and their raw talent remained untapped until they expressed themselves through art. The movement quickly gained prominence and spread worldwide. Steven Rehfeld's artistic style has evolved beyond the Naïve movement, incorporating earth elements to create a basic and raw interpretation of his artistic message. Artist Statement "My oil, acrylic, and mixed media paintings explore the dynamic relationship between progressiveness and tradition, personal and cultural experiences, and the interplay between the human form and iconography. Through these explorations, I engage in a dialogue that reveals how the intangible influences the material world. Color contrast forms, negative/positive space, and visual kinetic energy shape these artistic relationships. Additionally, I fuse abstract art with elements of realism to create a unique artistic experience." "Look at the Stars, Look at How They Shine for You" Butterfly Painting on Canvas
By Ash Almonte
Located in New York, NY
The Butterfly series for Ash began as a sentiment to her late Father. Butterflies began to appear in unexplainable ways after his passing, the artist later discovered that Butterflies represent spiritual rebirth, transformation, change, hope, and life - she goes on to say: "The butterfly series draws inspiration from Rivera's quote 'Butterflies can't see their wings. They can't see how truly beautiful they are, but everyone else can.'" After coming to the fruition that Butterflies pose as not only a symbol for beauty and rebirth, Almonte felt a feeling of deep comfort. Her passion for sharing this message of hope and renewal through her colorfully diverse canvases is achieved with resilience leaving her audience glimmering much like the inner voice and the spark of Joie de vivre that fuels her purpose in life to create. This piece is painted on thick gallery wrap canvas and is signed lower right and on verso, it comes with hanging wire on verso ready to be displayed.
Art measures 36 x 48 inches
Inspired by vibrance and an optimistic outlook on life, Ash Almonte is recognized for her distinct abstract expressionistic style. She is best known for her series of Chandeliers, Butterflies, and Fashion from the Seventh Avenue Design District. Almonte's award-winning works can be found in private and permanent collections around the world. She is motivated by change, compassion for others, and miraculous phenomena that can impact others for good.
Her flair and admiration for fashion and art have been a staple of her life since childhood. As a young girl, she would experiment using anything she could find to make art; from tearing apart bushel baskets at her father’s fruit stand, to tearing out old magazine clippings from her mother's magazine collection; anything and everything around her could potentially be used to create. She would continue to seek out opportunities throughout her young adult years, as her love for fashion grew, allowing her to collaborate with celebrity stylists creating looks for top billboard artists, as well as apparel worn at New York Fashion Week for designers Sherri Hill...

"Guided by The Blue Butterfly" Abstract Chandelier Painting Acrylic on Canvas
By Ash Almonte
Located in New York, NY
The Chandelier series for Ash portrays an inner mantra, that light is a fuel in which we all connect, the artist goes on to explain: "We all have a light inside of us and that light is how we connect in some realm; whether it be a mentor, a friend, a stranger, a nurse. It is this innate human connection that brings us together and for me, a chandelier represents the complexity and beauty of this and so the idea of providing this light for one another is what motivates me in this collection." Almonte is constantly developing her aesthetic, further breaking the barriers of how she applies paint onto the canvas by carefully manipulating her dried acrylic pallet. Cutting and reapplying the leftover paint onto new works of art, Almonte creates a refreshing and unique design that gives her work a new dimension and a more 3D-like feel. This piece is painted on thick gallery wrap canvas and is signed lower right and on verso, it comes with hanging wire on verso ready to be displayed.
