About the Item
The paint is made in the author's technique of painting by Vasili Zianko based acrylic painting on canvas using a variety of textures, washes, the finest glazing, volumetric contours. Sihuacoatl - "Snake Woman", in the mythology of the Aztecs and other Indians of Central America is the goddess of the earth and childbirth, as well as the war.
Cihuacoatl is one of the oldest Mesoamerican deities and one of the main deities of the Aztec pantheon. She was also revered under the names Tonatsin ("our mother"), Kilastli and Ilamatecuhtli. Cihuacoatl was the mother of the god Mixcoatl - Istac Micoatl "White Cloud Serpent", he was the deity of the Milky Way, the stars and the North Star. The legend says, Cihuacoatl left her son at a crossroads. She returntd later and found a sacrificial knife only, but her son was disapeared. Since then she has been wandering at the crossroads at night and has been mourning about Mixcoatl. She always wears a swaddled knife on her back instead of her son .
Vasili Zianko was born in 1977,Belarus.2006 Graduated from Belarusian State Academy of Arts.Since 2019 - Chairman of the monumental art section Belarusian Artist Union.Authors pieces are original view of interaction humanity and nature.Personal technique is based on painting with acrylic on canvas with different textures, thinnest glazing, volumetric outlines.Since 1995 participates regional and international exhibitions. Conducted more than 10 personal projects in Minsk ,Warshaw, Vienna, Vitebsk, Moscow, Paris.In 2018 ”And by feeling to see..." unique art-project for blind and visually impaired people had started, it is the first inclusive art-project and important step to creating bounderless environment in Belarus.Creative background of the artist includes major monumental projects in Belarus also.Zianko's art-works belong to Contemporary Art collections of National Art Museum of Belarus, National Modern Arts Museum of Belarus and others., Museum of Russian Art (New York, USA) and private collections of Austria, Belarus, Germany, USA, Norway, Russia, Poland,Turkey, France.
