The Expedition. Acrylic on canvas gallery wrap. In 2019 The Edison Ford Winter Estates in Ft Myers invited David to be the Honorary Artist for their Art Exhibit ," Edison's Jungle". David Ruhe was born in 1962, in Dayton Ohio. There he pursued his destiny as an artist, self-taught Ruhe developed a realistic style that earned him recognition. He has been painting full time for the last 20 years, he is known for his nature paintings, landscape, seascape, birds. The challenge of still life has recently captured Ruhe's imagination. In his latest body of work, he wins the intrinsic value of each item he selects for his tablescapes and develops them in a dream-like realism juxtaposed with surrealism.
