This piece was from a series that began in Olympic National park during my residency there.
FOXGLOVE #2 was the second iteration of the study that was painted at elevation in the highlands
near the Hoh Rainforest in the cooler light of the late afternoon.

Liza lives and works between Nashville, TN , Allison Park, PA and Lake Tahoe, California. She graduated with her MFA in Painting from Boston University in 2020 and graduated from the University of Dayton in 2017 where she studied Fine Art and Biology. She currently teaches printmaking and painting at multiple universities and advises art students. Her passion for environmentalism and love of nature continually inform her artistic practice, which is an amalgamation of drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, and bio-art.
