About the Item
I liken my process of finding a spot to paint to be like foraging for mushrooms. I typically wander
through the woods with my gear, looking at the ground, finding places of intrigue that might
make a painting. In this particular November, I spent a lot of time in the Northeast, in deciduous
forests, where the cold and wet allows for the turkey tail mushrooms to flourish. In these
moments, I like to capture the wonder of this moment of symbiosis between organisms, how
they work in harmony.
