Beautiful large scale original oil painting by the French artist Michele Salmon (b.1946). The painting has a captivating feel to it, depicting two lovers in a Modernist setting. Painted with incredible effect and a strong palette range of deep blues and greens, as the lovers mysteriously appear into the foreground.
Michele Salmon is a French painter, born in Lorraine in 1946. She was elected correspondent of the Academy of Fine Arts (painting section) in 2009. She was also a pupil of Georges Rohner and Jacques Despierre at the National School of Decorative Arts. She is a painter of sensations, of atmospheres with a sense of the marvelous that seems to the surrealists. Her characters appear through a play of shadows and light, without hair and without expression: impalpable and mysterious beings. Salmon participated in the Salon d'Automne from 1969. She graduated from ENSAD with a masters of mural art in 1970, she exhibited that year at the Salon des Artistes Français.
