1970s Parisian Nude Portrait, Abstract, Original Oil Painting, Signed By French artist Elisabeth Dujarric, b.1930-2005 Oil painting on canvas, unframed Signed, dated 1979 and titled by the artist verso Canvas size: 36 x 36 inches Elisabeth Dujarric de la Rivière is a French Postwar & Contemporary artist who was born in 1930, died in 2005. Her use of muted colours to convey the physical body is quite wonderful. Elisabeth Dujarric de La Rivière: Born in Jouy-en-Josas in 1929, settled in the city of artists La Ruche (Paris- 15e ) in the 1950s, she was very close with Paul Rebeyrolle and his group. In 1957 she received the Young Painting Salon Award. She first signed large still lifes and then moved on to a more intimate work, as evidenced by an exhibition in 1968 at the Claude Lévin Gallery, as well as the engravings she made to illustrate many works. Elisabeth Dujarric de La Rivière had allowed the rescue of the Hive, creating the saving association. This painting is no exception. Quite a lively painting, showing a true and natural side of the Parisian women in the 1970s. A bold statement, this painting is daring and quite simple, fabulous. Condition report: The painting and canvas are both in a very pleasing condition.
