Born in Blackpool in 1954 Paul has lived and worked on the Fylde Coast ever since.
“My interest in art began during my schooldays in the mid 1960's through into the early 1970s. I had much enjoyment from this and a degree of success, though I did not follow a career in art until a few years ago after gaining an appreciation of the work of Edward Hopper, and of the Californian artist R. Kenton Nelson”.
Paul spent several years teaching himself to paint, developing a representational style with a narrative theme, using acrylic paint on canvas. One of his paintings, ‘Love, Hate, Kiss, or Adore’, was shortlisted for the Royal Society of British Artists annual exhibition in London”.
