Koskas n 39, circa 1960   Georges Koskas was born in French Tunisia in 1926 and moved to Paris in 1946 where he worked under André Lhote and Ferdinand Léger.

From 1920 and 1930 she travelled in France, Italy and Tunisia. His paintings are rich in colours and related to French Impressionism. 

Both dating from the 1930s, these two paintings say much about Porter Woodruff's life in Tunisia.

He worked from Villa Sebastian, his home and painting studio in Hammamet, Tunisia and is buried in the gardens there.
