About the Item
This unique perspective cityscape piece titled, "Miss Liberty" is a 46x30" mixed media painting on canvas by artist Abraham Pinto. Featuring a bird's eye view of the New York City and the Statue of Liberty, Pinto's out-of-this-world compositions take the viewer to another viewpoint. Pinto chose to use realistic colors similar to the actual statue, the flame is yellow and the body and clothes are teal green.
He hid small words in the paintings such as "Liberty" and "New York" which adds another element of interest. Comprised of drawings in charcoal and layered oil paint, these architectural paintings break ground and reach for the sky.
About the artist:
Abraham Pinto was born in Seville in 1976. He is a self-taught artist. He started to refine his artistic career doing plein air competitions.
His most popular subjects are cityscapes and still-lifes, but with a unique perspective. Abraham plays with the curvature of the plain in his compositions, transforming a city into a planet by itself. He mixes art and mathematics in each of his paintings.
He has been in numerous exhibitions and competitions. His pieces are exhibited in public and private galleries on a permanent basis. Additionally, Pinto has been awarded with several prizes and medals.
