Title: French Mid 20th Century Pastel of Sunlit Park with Trees and River View by Anne Marie Migette Perard (French 1902-1977) Signed: Yes Medium: Pastel on unframed paper Size: 19.75 inches (height) x 24.5 inches (width) Condition: As is normal with unframed works on paper there are some minor old creases or paper edge curls/ tears - all of which should be covered over or smoothed out once framed; generally very good and sound. Provenance: as with all the works we have by this artist, it has come from the artists estate in France. Description: This glowing mid-century pastel by Anne Marie Migette Perard captures a sun-drenched riverside park in full bloom. A graceful tree with twisting branches anchors the foreground, its lavender-blue shadows cascading across the path. The viewer’s eye is led toward a vibrant green lawn, dotted with trees in tones of plum, gold, and chestnut, evoking the changing seasons. To the left, a peaceful river winds its way through the landscape, while gently rolling hills rise in the distance. "The Humming of Cicadas at Chenequa" is an original pastel drawing on Canson paper by Peggy Leonard. The artist signed the piece lower left.
