Condition: As is normal with unframed works on paper there are some minor old creases or paper edge curls/ tears - all of which should be covered over or smoothed out once framed; generally very good and sound.
Provenance: as with all the works we have by this artist, it has come from the artists estate in France.
Description: This powerful and enigmatic mid-century portrait by Anne Marie Migette Perard presents two interwoven faces—one ghostly and ethereal, the other grounded and intense—set against a richly symbolic landscape. The left side, bathed in cool tones of green and blue, evokes springtime and renewal with umbrella-like flora and a distant church spire. The right side burns with autumnal reds and oranges, hinting at fire, transformation, and inner turbulence.
The central face—half translucent, half solid—may represent duality, identity, or the emotional spectrum between serenity and conflict.
