Condition: As is normal with unframed works on paper there are some minor old creases or paper edge curls/ tears - all of which should be covered over or smoothed out once framed; generally very good and sound.
Provenance: as with all the works we have by this artist, it has come from the artists estate in France.
Description: This richly coloured forest study by French artist Anne Marie Migette Perard captures a grove of tall pine and fir trees bathed in shifting dappled light. Using expressive mid-century mark-making and lush layers of soft pastel, Perard creates a peaceful yet vivid atmosphere, drawing the eye along a winding footpath that disappears into the trees.
The work balances realism with abstraction—tree trunks sway with natural movement while the play of light and shadow dances in jewel-like tones of emerald, amethyst, and gold.
