ARTIST BIOGRAPHY
Antoni Llobet Aracil (Barcelona, 1910 - 1983) was a Catalan painter renowned for his landscape work. He studied at the School of Fine Arts of Sant Jordi in Barcelona, where he was a student of Joaquim Mir and José Mongrell.
In 1931, he received a scholarship to further his studies in Italy, later exhibiting in Paris and gaining recognition as a sensitive and skilled landscape artist. During the 1930s, he traveled across Europe, taking part in exhibitions in Spain and France.
During the Spanish Civil War, he contributed to artistic initiatives and later led an itinerant life until settling in Mallorca in the 1960s. His painting is characterized by free, expressive brushwork and a masterful use of color to capture the atmosphere and light of each landscape.
