Located near the shores of Lake Huron, Lambton County's rural splendour is on full display in this sketch by Canadian artist Bernice Fenwick Martin. The traditional wooden barn with block foundation draws the eye, guiding the viewer up the path towards it. The impressionistic farmer can be spotted close to the entrance to the barn. Painted en plein air this piece comes from her estate collection and is a sketch size.
