Bright and charming cityscape of detailed rooftops in Lancaster, PA, including the first Reformed Church, by Bert E. Rockhoff (American, 1886-1973). Signed "B. Rockhoff" in the lower-left corner. Two tags on verso - one with title and artist info, the other from the framing company. Title and artist's info are also written on verso. Image size: 30"H x 24"W
Bert E. Rockhoff (American, 1886-1973) was a member of the Grosse Pointe Art Association. He worked for his father at the Fostoria Aluminum Mfg. Co. He was also an inventor and had patents. Rockhoff was likely to have been an engineer. Later in life, he lived in Escondido. CA with his brother.
