"David Austin Roses" is a colorful example of Bryan Mark Taylor's modern approach to Impressionism. This beautiful oil on panel captures the rich colors of the rose in the vase. This painting is custom framed by the artist in a special hand gilded gold frame (included in the price) and ready to hang and enjoy! (Framed dimensions are 14 x 12".)
A world traveler and an accomplished landscape and cityscape painter, Bryan Mark Taylor is currently working out of his Utah studio. Bryan has won numerous top awards at the nation’s most prestigious plein air invitationals and his work has been shown in museums across the country. He has been featured in Fine Art Connoisseur, Plein Air, Southwest Art, American Art Collector and American Artist Workshop magazines.
Bryan has had many successful one man shows and has been featured in numerous group shows including the Coors Western Art and California Art Club’s Gold Medal show. Bryan is represented by galleries in California, Colorado and Utah and his work is found in private, corporate and museum collections around the world. Bryan is a sought after teacher and lecturer has taught courses around the country including the Academy of Art University, Pixar and the Scottsdale Artists School. Bryan has also been a featured speaker at the 2012 and 2013 Plein Air Convention and has produced an instructional DVD titled “Painting Cityscapes.”
Bryan has traveled extensively carefully observing and capturing nature’s everyday miracles. Bryan was born in Portland, Oregon. He received his BA from Brigham Young University in 2001 and his MFA from the Academy of Art University in 2005. He lives with his wife and four children in Alpine, Utah.

I believe I share with the majority of painters a tremendous love of the abstract stuff of the world that painting addresses: edges, planes, masses, forms, lines, passages, light and shadow. Artist Valerie Berkely presents a fiery sunset above thick silhouetted trees. The warm rays of the sun brighten the landscape with cooling hues of violet spreading across the forest floor. With her finger painting technique, Valerie uses transparent oils on top of gold iridescent acrylic textures creating a luminescent glow. It results in a captivating image with a gentle flow of movement.
About the Artist
Valerie Berkely uses her finger tips as brushes to create her abstract paintings. For Valerie, the art is all about the process, the paint, her mood, and the moment. She admires the artist Wolf Kahn, who once said, “the picture is the conclusion of an experiment in which the hint of an image becomes actuality." Like Kahn, Valerie’s paintings combine pictorial landscapes with painterly abstraction. The vibrant primary colors capture the hues of the sun rising and setting, and the texture of her fingers across the surface divides sea, land, and sky. There is something very dreamy about these works, exemplified by their color, texture, and atmospheric quality. Valerie’s first “art epiphany†was seeing Seurat's La Grande Jatte at the Art Institute of Chicago. “Bowled me over! I actually fell down. And I knew I was to become a painter.â€
