Clarence Henry Roe (1850–1909) was a British landscape painter renowned for his romantic depictions of the Scottish Highlands, lochs, and rural scenes. Born in Birmingham, he was the eldest son of Robert Henry Roe, a Victorian painter, and Emma Bailey. His artistic lineage included several siblings and relatives who were also artists, notably his uncle Fred Roe, a member of the Royal Society of British Artists .
Roe's landscapes often feature dramatic mountain vistas, serene lakes, and wildlife such as deer and birds. His works are characterized by rich color palettes and precise brushwork, capturing the natural beauty of the British countryside. He painted primarily in oils and exhibited at institutions like the Royal Hibernian Academy
