About the Item
This painting was created entirely from life on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii, during the winter storm season.
"I was struck by the power of the white waves crashing against the reef-lined coast," said Daria Molostnova about this painting. "The scene is from a place known as Sharks Cove - a popular spot for visitors. On calm days, the rocky reef protects swimmers from the ocean’s force. But during heavy winter swells, the waves rise above the reef, flood the cove with white foam, and send people running from the water, laughing and shouting as the ocean reclaims the shore."
The work is painted in oil on American linen canvas, using Italian and French paints. The surface is finished with a protective varnish.
The painting is ready for framing and will look especially striking in a wide dark frame. It suits any interior - modern or classic - and will always stand out as a strong visual accent in the place.
Daria Molostnova lives and works in Hawaii, where she discovered the true beauty of the surrounding world. Her paintings reflect the local reality, expressed through her personal cultural code. A graduate of the Russian State University of Design and Applied Arts named Stroganoff, she earned her master's degree, blending the traditions of classical education with a contemporary artistic perspective.
Daria grew up in a family of professional artists, her mother being a renowned designer and lead doll artist of the Soviet Union. Since 1997, Daria has been a member of the Moscow Union of Artists, and since 1998, a member of the International Union of Journalists.
She has taught at the Russian-Italian Art School Perotti and the Correspondence People's University of Arts. She has conducted numerous workshops both in Russia and abroad, as well as team-building activities for companies such as Harpers Bazaar, Mercedes, and Coca-Cola.
Daria has participated in international artist residencies in such countries as Bosnia, France, and Italy. She is a participant in many Russian and international art fairs, competitions, and exhibitions. Currently, she collaborates with galleries in Hawaii and California.
Her works are held in several Russian museums, as well as in private collections both in Russia and abroad.
Daria's paintings are a fusion of flawless craftsmanship and a vivid sense of life that her work conveys. The inspiration and light embedded in her paintings will stay with you if you become their owner.
