In this contemporary landscape painting in oil on panel, expansive gray clouds float in an idyllic blue sky over a field with crimson red shrubbery and hilly mountains on the horizon in the distance. Signed, dated and titled on verso. 32 x 24 inches (each), 32 x 48 inches (diptych).
David Konigsberg applies many layers of thinned oil paint to achieve his atmospheric surfaces. Konigsberg maps and traces an emotional and directly experienced view of the landscape of the Hudson Valley with breathtaking skill and beauty.
