About the Item
The talent of Francesca Owen really shines through in this beautiful statement piece. Her use of palette is subtle and her brushwork is able to move the paint over the canvas to create this sublime work. Francesca's paintings are attracting a lot of attention with collectors and justifiably so. This painting is of museum quality and needs a feature wall to display it where the light can flow over the canvas and highlight the nuances of Francesca's outstanding technique.

Francesca Owen is an award-winning painter. She studied at the Slade School of Fine Art on scholarship, under the tutorship of Phyllida Barlow RA CBE, and winning two prizes there, including the Euan Uglow Memorial Scholarship. Francesca has shown work in galleries across the country and lead talks including at Porthmeor Studios in St Ives. In teaching Francesca led two courses at St Ives School of Painting, Francesca continues to teach her own courses and has undertaken several residencies including one in SE Asia and two in Cornwall. In painting Francesca has focused on landscapes and stories through travel with figure and abstraction. Often heavy, textural paint and a light palette define her work. Her work has been recently chosen by the critic’s choice in Tatler magazine.
