About the Item
Luminous beautiful landscape.
It's a landscape from Barbizon school. Probably inspired by Caspar David Friedrich, known for his landscapes seeking to tend towards the magnificent, the representation of nature transcending the smallness of man, he attempts to achieve a painting reconciling the spectacle of the immeasurable with the artist's states of mind.
Structural Analysis :
The central trees appear as a symmetrical element of the scene; on the right side, the path with the shepherd and on the left side _ the river.
Moreover, there is a contrast between dark and light colors. Also the main 2 trees appears as a symmetrical element for the dark and light colors.
(See the picture with perspective lines.) The focal point are the 2 main trees.
Color analysis:
Blue cerulean color of the sky and turquoise color of the river contrasts with the complementary orange and brown red color of the trees. The painter used complementary colors when placed side by side, each heightens the visual intensity of the other.

with Golden frame: 41,5x54,5cm / 16.3x 21,45 inch
Thickness: 3.5cm
It is signed _ "A. Rabut or A. Babut"
Condition : Very good condition. Colors are vivds - NO Cracks - NO Discoloration. Few parts are missing on the golden frame. (see on pictures)
