Horse and Jockey in the Countryside

circa 1860s

$4,980

About

Well-executed oil on canvas featuring a horse and jockey in a beautiful English countryside landscape. This piece dates to the second half of the 19th century and is very mush in the style and quality of painters such as John Sartorius and Harry Hall. Given the canvas size, subject, and execution we would be comfortable attributing this painting to Harry Hall, yet there is no signature to be found. The piece is presented in a bespoke gilt frame measuring 25" x 28".
