This atmospheric early twentieth-century oil painting depicts a man on horseback herding a flock of sheep through rugged terrain, possibly North Wales. Cheadle renders the scene in warm, earthy tones. Signed to the lower right. Presented in a rustic gilt-effect frame. Acquired with a companion work, also listed on our website. On canvas on stretchers.
