About the Item
Ships FLATHunters work is included in several corporate collections including Sterling Drug, Chugai-Upjohn, Ernst and Young, Satellite Health Care of Mountain View, Ca., and the Ojai Valley Inn and Spa. One of her tapestries was included in a show entitled “Significant Colorado Women Artists of the 20th Century” which traveled around the western region and also to the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington, D.C.
Using printed material from design magazines, I cut and arrange shapes to make studies for paintings. These are road maps for beginning a painting and give me a clear idea of structure and color before I begin to paint. Each painting has its own unique layering and details to be resolved and are in no way literal interpretations of my studies.
My work is about transformation, connection and how things go together. Structure, texture, and color harmony are integral to my work.

Hunter Hogan
