About the Item

Artist: Shapoval Ivan Leontyevich Work: Original oil painting, handmade artwork, one of a kind Medium: Oil on Cardboard Style: Impressionism Year: 2008 Title: Tokari Village Size: 18.5" x 26.5" x 0.2'' inch, (48x67x1 cm) Unframed, Stretched on Wooden Bar, Gallery Wrapped, Ready to Hang. "Tokari Village" is an enchanting oil painting that captures the serenity and rustic beauty of a countryside landscape. The scene unfolds with a sense of tranquility, inviting the viewer to embark on a visual journey through its layers of natural splendor. In the foreground of the painting, a sprawling field stretches out before us, drenched in vibrant shades of green. Lush grasses sway gently in the breeze, creating a soft, undulating carpet that seems to ripple with life. The field is adorned with a scattering of wildflowers, their delicate hues adding dashes of color to the composition. Amongst this verdant expanse, a narrow path emerges, meandering through the landscape and beckoning us to explore further. As our gaze follows the path, it leads us deeper into the heart of the painting, gradually revealing the quaint village of Tokari. Nestled amidst the forest, the village appears like a cluster of charming cottages, their rooftops adorned with slanted red tiles. Though distant, their presence is discernible, hinting at a warm and inviting community nestled in this picturesque countryside. The background of the painting portrays the vastness of the surrounding landscape. Towering trees, their branches reaching skyward, populate the distant horizon. Their canopies create a gentle dappled effect, casting playful shadows upon the land. Soft hints of sunlight filter through the foliage, illuminating the scene with a warm, golden glow. The artist's meticulous attention to detail and skillful brushwork breathe life into "Tokari Village." Every stroke and hue come together harmoniously to convey the serene atmosphere and idyllic charm of this rural setting. The painting evokes a sense of tranquility and nostalgia, transporting viewers to a simpler time and place where nature and community coexist harmoniously. Whether displayed in a gallery or adorning the walls of a cozy home, "Tokari Village" is a captivating masterpiece that invites viewers to immerse themselves in its beauty, finding solace in the tranquil landscapes and the quietude of a bygone era.
