About the Item

Ivana Milosevic creates vibrant, yet soothing water landscapes that emphasize color and texture. She uses palette knives and brushes to carve details into layers of paint. They reflect a form of abstraction through the simplification of composition and reduction of all unessential elements. Milosevic pays special attention in her artworks to dispense with any representation of land or sky, only adding silhouettes of people to emphasize the meaning of perspective, the flow of time, and the speed of life. By using expressive brushwork, Milosevic strives to make the viewer feel in the present moment and not in the past. This original 24-inch square artwork is painted by internationally collected Serbian artist Ivana Milosevic with acrylic paint on canvas. It is wired and ready to hang. The sides are painted and it does not require framing. It is signed by the artist on the back of the artwork. A certificate of authenticity issued by the art gallery is included. Convenient local Los Angeles area delivery. Affordable Continental U.S. and worldwide shipping are available. Ivana Milosevic was born in Serbia in 1972. In 1998 she graduated from Belgrade University with a Master’s degree in Architecture. Since 2000 she was practicing architecture in the Municipality of Trstenik specializing in urban design and city planning. As a deputy Mayor of Trstenik, Ivana transformed the city into a modern and contemporary living environment. Ivana started painting in 2010. Since then she has exhibited her artworks in group and solo shows in Serbia and internationally. She uses an impasto technique with a palette knife and brushes to create her multi-layered textural artworks. “Through my professional practice, cityscapes are the main theme of my artworks, I explore the structure of the city, explore the construction, and visual impressions, through various problems in the city. I put layers and layers of oil paint on canvas, trying to rebuild the parts and pieces, life and its beauty!” Ivana pays special attention in her artworks to the city’s building structures and facades. She adds soothing silhouettes of people to emphasize the meaning of perspective, the flow of time, and the speed of life. By combining architecture and urbanism with figures and crowds, Ivana strives to make the viewer feel in the present moment and not in the past. "Beach Series" GG4E Seascape, Abstract Painting, 21st Century
By Roger König
Located in Dessau-Rosslau, Sachsen Anhalt
Artist: Roger König b. Dessau, Germany (1968) Master student of Kurt Schönburg, HWK Halle, Germany. König combines modern painting with acrylic with old techniques and in this way, he connects contemporary art with tradition. The natural clay color bestows the pictures with a completely special dim texture which stands in an exciting contrast with the delicate luster of the acrylic color. The features of the clay color allow a more intensive treatment of the surface. Often, there are lines, scratches or breaks in the surface, as if the canvas had been covered with a fair patina. More subtle strokes in the color bring graphic characters to mind, color gradients natural phenomena, divided canvasses the contrast which is immanent in everything: the principle of yin and yan. Submit Best Offer, all reasonable offers will be considered. Roger König's works are in private collections worldwide. His admirers include leading figures in international business, film and media. Signed front 'Roger König'; signed reverse 'Roger König' This original artwork includes a Certificate of Authenticity . The piece will be stamped from Roger König Art...
