An original oil on canvas by Ernest Burnett Hood which depicts a Glasgow industrial seascape marine with boats under a bridge. Very atmospheric this stunning work was exhibited at The Glasgow Art Club. The oil is signed lower right and dates to 1970. Provenance. The Glasgow Art Club, label verso. Condition. Large oil on canvas, image size is 36 inches by 30 inches and in fine gallery condition. Housed in a gallery frame in excellent condition. Framed size is 42 inches by 36 inches. Ernest Burnett Hood (1932-1988) - born Edinburgh. Painter in oil and watercolour of industrial landscapes and topographical scenes, occasional portraits, still life and scenes from opera: also aquatintist and lithographer. Educated in Glasgow.
