JAUME MUXART I DOMÈNECH (Martorell, Barcelona, 1922).

Firmado en el ángulo inferior izquierdo.
Medidas Pintura: 130 x 89 cm. Medidas marco: 134 x 93 cm.
Interesante óleo sobre lienzo representando a unos futbolistas.
Gran calidad y colorido, esta en buen estado.
Jaume Muxart inicia su formación en la Escuela de Bellas Artes de Barcelona. En 1947 expone por primera vez, en la sala Pictòria de Barcelona. Entre 1952 y 1955 reside en Roma, becado por el Ministerio de Cultura español. Formó parte del grupo Taüll, y realizó exposiciones por toda España, además de en ciudades extranjeras como El Cairo, Roma, Nueva York, Tokyo, Estocolmo, Londres, São Paulo y Copenhague. Entre sus premios destacan la medalla Torres-García, el premio Juan Gris, la medalla de honor en la Primera Bienal del Deporte, el Diputación de Barcelona y el Ciutat de Barcelona. En 1991 ingresa como académico en la Real Academia Catalana de Bellas Artes de Sant Jordi, y más tarde fue catedrático de la facultad de Bellas Artes de la Universidad de Barcelona, cargo que ocupa desde 1979. Se conservan obras de Muxart en el Museo Nacional de Arte de Cataluña, los de Arte Contemporáneo de Barcelona, Madrid, México D.F. y Alejandría, los de Bellas Artes de Long Island (Nueva York) y Bilbao, el Reina Sofía de Madrid, el Guggenheim de Nueva York y el Lissone de Milán, entre muchos otros.
