A dog waiting, a woman walking into a shop and a serene invitation in this urban scene by Keiko Ogawa. The shop's red and warm exterior contrasts against the cooler blue interior, that although cold remains inviting and enchanting. The painting's loose brush strokes, with splashes of red, orange and green beautifully capture the casual scene. The painting is framed in a simple black wooden frame measuring 52.50h x 36.25w inches.

Keiko Ogawa was born in Tokyo, Japan in 1974. While traveling the world, she met a well known Catalan painter who would become her husband and they settled in his hometown of Barcelona, Spain. The two artists share their studios on the 1st floor of a loft building just a few blocks from Antonio Gaudi's, Sagrada Familia in Barcelona. They live on the floors above the studio. Keiko's paintings capture architectural spaces sometimes inhabited by figures. The works look to be painted quickly and with confidence. But, while her Her dynamic use of paint might seem to contrast the contemplative and solitary subjects in her work, it instead has the effect of drawing even more focus to the intense restraint in her subjects.
