Kirsten Savage is one of Colorado’s top representational artists. As an avid world traveler and experienced mountaineer, Kirsten spends her time seeking out beautiful spaces where the silence is deafening and the big open skies humble us.
Kirsten Savage’s oil paintings are about contemplation and connection. In her figurative works, she purposefully leaves some mystery and intrigue in the narrative to inspire critical thinking and personal reflection. Her landscapes and other subject matter are a gift of quiet observation. Ultimately, each creation is an invitation for the viewer to really open our eyes and see.

Kirsten Savage
Kirsten Savage received her BFA from Maryland Institute College of Art and has been painting professionally for over 20 years. As an avid world traveler and experienced mountaineer, she seeks out beautiful spaces that embody peace and solitude, and creates narrative oil paintings about contemplation and connection. Kirsten Savage was recently chosen as the new PresidentialPortrait Artist for the Colorado State Capitol Building in Denver. She exhibits in fine art shows across the United States and her artwork is in private and corporate collections around the world.

Biography: Poupaert Lionel was born on September 27, 1900 in Bruges. His father was a goldsmith. In 1931 he got married and went to live in the Biezenstraat. He died on February 12, 1989.
He was a painter, restorer of paintings and copyist of Flemish Primitives.
In 1912 he entered the Bruges Academy of Fine Arts with director Flori Van Acker as his teacher and famed artist. In 1926 the Municipal Council of Bruges appointed him as a teacher at the Bruges Academy. He would remain in this position until 1966, the year he retired. Poupaert turned out to be a solid painter with high qualities. He painted numerous Bruges townscapes and also made portraits of important Bruges figures.
In the period 1952-1956, he painted two portraits of guardians and superiors of the convent of Our Lady of the Pottery. In 1955 he collaborated with Jules Fonteyne on the murals of the Church of Christ the King.
In 1961 he copied for the second time Memling’s triptych “The Adoration of the Magi” by order of Bruges Naval College who gave it as a gift to the King and Queen of Belgium...
