The sea lace, formations of tide on the wet sand, has always held a magical place in your heart and the excitement is building instantaneously. The hottest part of the afternoon has passed and so the beach is your private oasis. Hearing the tide orchestrating the glory of the waves crashing upon the moss coated rocks speaks perfection. Reminiscent of Winslow Homer's ever powerful and majestic marine depictions, artist Laura Paray combines Frank DuMond's principals of prismatic light with inspiration derived by the force of nature to enthrall and delight with this original impressionist marine landscape. In a nurturing range of blue values the artist applies classic impressionist strokes to create both motion and anticipation. Paray earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts at the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University followed by nearly ten years of instruction at the highly regarded Ridgewood Art Institute of New Jersey and a year at the famed Art Students League of NYC. Paray is a multi-award winning artist who has shown her work in juried shows throughout the northeast USA including the Salmagundi Club, Oil Painters of America and the American Artist Professional League.
