A beautiful late 19th century impressionist painting by Louis Aimé Japy (1840-1916), depicting a serene pastoral scene with cattle grazing peacefully beneath a prominent over-arching tree. Signed 'Japy' to the lower right. Well presented in a period gilt frame with ornate floral and acanthus mouldings and a further artist signature verso. On canvas board.
