A wonderful impressionist summer scene of "Saint Mandrier sur Mer, France". The artist has portrayed this piece in a most intimate, yet energetic way, and has packed much feeling into this vibrant work. It is almost as if we are there in the warm weather, bringing a beautiful feeling of nostalgia. The artist is known for capturing the beauty and simplicity of the 20th Century, depicting every day life; the flower market in the morning, French scenes on the country side, villages, farms and intimate moments shared between friends. Many are depicted in recognizable settings and this piece is an excellent example of this as he captures a summer day of boats docked with thick use of paint and pallet knife.
