On one of my visits to Wisley I was captivated by the strong yellows and shadows.
Artist Bio: Lynda Minter is a London-based artist who has an interest in capturing impressions of how the landscape and cityscapes appear in a fleeting moment, bringing to life the complexity of how light and colour transforms shapes and mood which she finds exciting. Lynda’s colourful palette combining thick brushstrokes with rich colour to capture the vivacity of Britain’s varied landscape: recording over her long career the ever-changing skyline of London parks and the river Thames. St Martin’s School of Art BA hons in Fine Arts 1984 where she studied sculpture and a few years later made the transition into oils at the Slade Summer School. In 2013 Lynda was artist in residence at the River and Rowing Museum, Artist in Focus at The Dover Street Arts Club 2006 and has contributed to many solo and mixed exhibitions including the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition , The Discerning Eye, The Mall Galleries, The Chelsea Arts Society, The Painter’s Fine Art Society, Christie’s Wine Art Society , Henley Royal Regatta, Belgravia Gallery, Piers Feetham Gallery, Aylesbury Museum, Buckinghamshire, Amanda Aldous Gallery, Lacy Road Gallery, Art For Youth. Her work is held in private and public collections River and Rowing Museum, Tresco Estate in the UK and abroad. Lynda says : ‘ I draw attention to landscape because we have this enormous responsibility to cherish nature, and that is just as true for my still-life’s of flowers and plants – they seem as eloquent as people and needing as much care’.

Bluebells come and go so quickly I was lucky to capture them before they disappeared. The combination of blue and green is lovely and fresh.
