Windy French Path signed by Max Toutain (1935-2006) oil painting on canvas, unframed canvas : 18 x 22 inches Provenance: all the paintings we have by this artist have come from the artists estate in the South of France. Condition: very good condition Max Toutain was born in Paris in 1935, discovering his passion for art from a young age, mixing with artists in Montmartre in Paris, but also in Antibes and Cagnes Sur Mer, in the South of France. His work displays a poetic charm, capturing the passion and mood of his surroundings. He has exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Francais, Grand Palais and throughout the Provinces, as well as in Ypres, Belgium and in Oklahoma & Chicago and further afield, receiving many distinctions in a long artistic career, including the Medaille d’Or in Marseille, Beziers & Provence.
